Petar S. Matavulj

 

Dr Petar S. Matavulj was born in Gradiška, SrpskaRepublic, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1971,    where he finished Primary and Secondary School. He received B.S. degree in 1994, M.S. degree in 1997, and Ph.D. degree in 2002, all in electrical engineering from the Belgrade University, Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

In 1994. he joined the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, where he was Teaching and Research Assistant of Physical Electronics from 1995 to 2002. He is currently Assistant Professor of Physical Electronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. As a Faculty Staff now he lecture students following courses: Physics, Optoelectronics, Optoelectronic Devices, Optoelectronic and Laser Systems, Optical Transmitter and Receivers and Optoelectronic Measurement.

His scientific research interest includes, but not limited on: modeling, simulation and characterization of ultra high-speed optoelectronic devices, fiber optic communications, optoelectronic measurement and integrated optics. 

He is author of 23 papers in journals and conference proceedings and engaged in few project supported by Serbian Ministry of Science. He is a faculty principal person for measuring and certification of LAN and fiber optic cable systems in Serbia. 

He is a member of the IEEE from 1997.
